Delta Air Lines Launches TelevisaUnivision Content

As part of its Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations, Delta is launching a series of United Television Network In its in-flight entertainment programme, it started offering a variety of movies in September, which was expanded to include TV series in October.

Delta Airlines and AeromexicoThe new in-flight entertainment system has been launched, featuring exclusive content from TelevisaUnivision. Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 – October 15), customers flying Delta in September and October will have the opportunity to enjoy a limited-time selection of popular TV shows and movies from one of the Spanish-speaking world’s top media companies.

Delta’s in-flight entertainment upgrade program will begin offering a variety of movies in September and will be expanded to TV series in October, aiming to provide passengers with more colorful and culturally diverse options.

Content lineup

The initial launch will include a range of classic and contemporary content from TelevisaUnivision, including the following films:

  • Attendance (2022): Mexican horror film directed by Luis Mandoki. After his wife’s death, a widower moves into a cabin in the forest to deal with his grief. However, strange supernatural events cause him to question his own sanity, which becomes more intense and terrifying; revealing dark secrets related to his past and his wife’s death.
  • You Drive Me Crazy (2023): In this romantic comedy directed by José Manuel Cravioto, two very different people end up on a road trip. Along the way, they experience a series of confusing and hilarious situations that make them get to know each other better, develop feelings, and test their views on relationships and love.
  • Absolute (2022): Absolutely is a documentary written and directed by Jorge Laplace that tells the story of a sports team and each of its members, exploring their dreams, challenges, triumphs, and failures over the years.

October’s TV series will include:

  • Maria Felix (S1/E1: The Woman Who Owns a Man’s Heart): This is the story of a woman ahead of her time, who took on a man’s world to earn her place and become the ultimate superstar in Mexican cinema.
  • Reconnecting Mexico (S1/E1: Guanajuato): Join Aaron Diaz and special guests on an amazing journey through Mexico to discover hidden treasures and connect with local communities. Reconnect Offering adventure, fun and immersive experiences in the heart of Mexico.

Strategic Partnerships

The new service is a joint venture between Delta and AeromexicoDesigned to enhance the travel experience for customers of both airlines. Delta Air Lines and Aeromexico are working together through the Joint Cooperation Agreement (JCA) to provide more seamless connections between the U.S. and Mexico while also investing in improvements to the customer experience.

Bring from United Television Network The partnership is a key element in enhancing the inflight experience for passengers around the world, enabling airlines to deliver entertainment that resonates with a broad audience, particularly Spanish-speaking travelers. The partnership is initially launching as a content trial, with the potential to expand based on passenger feedback and engagement.

By offering TelevisaUnivision content, we are able to provide a richer, more engaging in-flight experience that reflects the cultural diversity of our customer base.”
