  • Trump received the keys to the Ferrari F430 in mid-2007, and the car had 9,395 miles on it.
  • The average price of a Ferrari F430 with similar mileage is between $130,000 and $160,000.
  • There’s a good chance Trump’s old car will sell for a price well above the market average.

As Donald J. Trump is about to be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, a Ferrari F430 he once owned is now up for auction. While details about the seller remain scarce, the timing of the sale appears to be no coincidence. It’s hard to ignore the possibility that they’re counting on Trump’s political resurgence to help drive car values through the roof. If past sales are any indication, they might just be on to something.

Last year, Trump’s old Diablo VT Roadster sold at an auction for $1.1 million, roughly twice what a regular Diablo VT from that era would have sold for. The F430 may not be as iconic as the Diablo, but it’s still one of Ferrari’s best naturally aspirated V8 supercars, and Trump’s former car has only traveled 9,395 miles (15,119 kilometers) since new.

The Italian supercar is finished in timeless Rosso Corsa paint and is protected by a paint protection film. It has been kept indoors since new and comes with original Ferrari-branded accessories including a car cover, seat covers and matching handbag. In addition to its provenance, this Ferrari has been displayed at several automotive events at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. The book is now sold under the original title, which was released in July 2007 under Trump’s name.

Rockstar Auto Auctions is handling the sale of the car (see listing here), but to be honest, a car like this could sell itself. Park it on a street in Florida with a sign that says “Trump Owns It,” and people passing by will likely pay top dollar on the spot.

The interior is equally eye-catching, with a combination of black and tan leather upholstery. There are also several glossy carbon fiber parts, and there’s a special plaque on the dash that says “DJT-NYC.”

For context, a quick scan automatic trader It shows that there are currently less than 100 Ferrari F430s on sale in the United States. Models with less than 10,000 miles typically sell for between $130,000 and $160,000. But given the Trump factor, there’s a good chance this F430 will beat those numbers effortlessly.
