New Aprilia RS 660, RS 660 Factory: what’s new?
To ensure more advanced aerodynamics, Aprilia has redesigned the fairings of its popular sportbikes, borrowing concepts from the MotoGP project. There’s now a massive wing mounted below the windshield, plus two smaller aerodynamic add-ons to improve airflow penetration and high-speed stability. While maintaining the double-skin construction, the updated side fairings now include an integrated aerodynamic attachment.
Aprilia also offers a wide range of onboard electronics for the bikes through 2025, including a larger 5-inch full-color display and new handlebar controls with backlighting. In addition, the new RS660’s Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC) now features launch control. As before, the bike comes with cruise control, multi-stage traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control and cornering ABS. It also retains the electronic ride-by-wire throttle and six-axis inertial platform (standard).
Mechanically, the bike’s 660cc parallel-twin engine is now Euro 5+ compliant. Thanks to a larger 52mm throttle body (up from 48mm), the unit produces about 5 more horsepower at 105 hp.

The addition of the new factory version is the biggest change to the RS 660 moniker. The RS 660 Factory features modern Ohlins suspension, including a 43mm NIX 30 series front fork and STX 46 shock absorber with integrated reservoir. Both feature fully adjustable hydraulic rebound and compression damping and spring preload. The new version further stands out with new graphics and two-tone seats.
