Electric cars to be launched in 2025

Recently, a car with a similar structure to the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara appeared on the road in Gurgaon. The vehicle was unbranded and wrapped in anonymous tape. However, it is clear that this is the e Vitara that Suzuki will launch in 2025. Here are the details.



Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is the Japanese brand’s first electric car and is expected to debut in India in 2025. Recently, it was discovered in Sohna Road, Gurgaon Traffic was moderate around 2pm. The car has a black label with no brand association, masking its identity. Apparently, the car is undergoing anonymous city driving testing. Drivers are changing lanes and accelerating through traffic to check performance. Additionally, the vehicle appears to be in poor condition, perhaps to avoid public attention.

The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will make its debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo in India in January 2025 and go on sale in March. Launch in Europe is planned for June 2025.

Interior highlights include a floating dual-screen infotainment system, a flat-bottom steering wheel and a modern dashboard design. Key features include ADAS, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, electronic parking brake and wireless charging. The SUV has a ground clearance of 180 mm and a wheelbase of 2,700 mm, providing ample interior space.

The release was delayed due to software issues. The Maruti e Vitara is expected to be priced between Rs 20-30 lakh and will compete with the Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 05 and Hyundai Creta EV.
