Today we are talking about integrity. It’s about doing what you say. Act in a way that inspires trust and confidence. It’s a great trait in business, but how does it apply to trade shows? It certainly has a direct correlation and can make or break your next show!
What is integrity?
- Definition: The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles
- Don’t just talk, take action
- This embodies the Golden Rule – do not do to others what you do not want others to do to you.
5 Integrity Habits to Help You Host a Successful Show
1. Be on time, or better yet, be early.
2. Be honest about your abilities, the services you provide, the results you achieve, etc. Don’t exaggerate. Don’t lie.
3. If you can’t meet their needs, let them know.
4. Reserve your booth until the end of the show.
5. Stay at your booth – Don’t abandon your colleagues.
The biggest takeaway today is this – if you or any of your employees lack integrity in the way you run your business, you could be missing out on opportunities, or even losing existing customers, and you may never know it. Most people will never tell you.
