Episode 115 – The 100% Rule – Take your event to the next level

Introduce the 100% Rule. This will have a huge impact on our lives and trade shows. If you can get your team and yourself to follow the 100% Rule, you will notice a huge improvement in your results. I absolutely guarantee it!

OK – now let’s talk about the 100% rule.

This may be a little controversial. There is no such thing as a balanced life. It is a false ideal.

• Anyone who has a newborn knows this. They require more of your time. It’s that simple.
• So what do we do when we have to travel for a trade show? Unless your spouse or partner is traveling with you, it can be hard to maintain balance when you are away for a few days.
• In a marriage, it’s not 50/50, it’s 100/100. Same thing in a family. We’ve always had a rule, no phones at the dinner table. We’re together, we chat. We catch up on each other’s day. We have good communication. We’re 100% present when we’re around each other.
• That’s why I call it the 100% rule. Whatever you do, give it your all.

• You have to have exactly the same mindset towards business, our work and of course trade shows
• So how does the 100% rule work at our trade shows, conferences and events?
• Know why you are there – to build relationships, get leads, write orders – and achieve your goals!
• Be present during the performance
• Put your phone away
• Be proactive and engage with attendees.
• Attend networking events to build real connections
• Go all in! Once the show is over, it’s over. The days of creating leads are over. You can only follow up with the people you’ve connected with. If you don’t have a big list of people you’re excited about, you’re responsible. You don’t get to go back and network with the attendees who walked by your booth. You don’t get to run into that prospect at the networking event because you chose to skip it for a night on the town.

o You want to maximize your results? You want to double your leads? You want to make more money? Follow the 100% rule. Go all out and take advantage of every opportunity you can!
