F1: Sergio Perez leaves Red Bull Racing after challenge

Red Bull Racing and Sergio Perez have mutually agreed to part ways after four seasons together. The Mexican driver struggled in the 2024 Formula 1 season, finishing a disappointing eighth in the drivers’ championship. Sergio Perez joins Red Bull Racing in 2021. In his first three seasons, he helped the team to two constructors’ championships, finishing fourth, third and second.

Perez’s poor performance in the RB20 during the 2024 Formula 1 season has seen Red Bull slip to third in the constructors’ championship as rivals close the gap.
