Inside the trailer: What a Bentley electric SUV might look like
In a recent teaser, Bentley gave us a sneak peek, showing off the car’s roofline and side profile. They’re keeping most of the details secret, but one thing is clear: it will be compact and luxurious, designed and built at Bentley’s headquarters in Crewe.
The new electric Bentley will be what they call a “cross-segment crossover” – basically, imagine a smaller Bentayga, Less than five meters in length. It’s Bentley’s smallest car yet, but it still packs Bentley’s punch.

Bentley used the Volkswagen Group’s PPE platform to build this SUV. Audi and Porsche jointly created the platform, which is already being trialled on models such as the Audi Q6 e-tron and Porsche Macan EV. Bentley’s bigger electric car plans
Bentley originally aimed to launch its first electric car in 2025 and has committed to launching a new electric model every year until 2030. It’s all part of its ‘Beyond100+’ strategy, a roadmap for a greener, more sustainable Bentley that builds on the original ‘Beyond100’ plan they announced in 2020. “We are shaping a very different future for Bentley,” Walliser said, suggesting they were making a major shift to stay. Bentley has made a clear choice with this “urban SUV” – a vehicle that drives in its own lane, away from electric coupes like the Rolls-Royce Specter. Bentley SUV promises to create a new type of urban luxury by combining Bentley’s classic vibe with modern, eco-friendly styling.
