The winning bidder will receive a 1,064-horsepower, VIN 001 American supercar
- The first 2025 Corvette ZR1 will be auctioned by Barrett-Jackson on January 25th.
- All funds will be donated to the American Red Cross, and the vehicle could bring in millions of dollars.
- The ZR1 is equipped with “the most powerful V8 engine ever produced by an American automaker.”
The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 ushers in a new era of American performance with a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8 engine producing 1,064 hp (793 kW / 1,079 PS) and 828 lb-ft (1,121 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, enabling the car to reach a top speed of at least 233 mph (375 km/h).
Those numbers are astounding, easily beating some of Europe’s best supercars. This will make the ZR1 a hot commodity, but now is your chance to own the first one.
First Look: 2025 Corvette ZR1 is a 1,064-horsepower supercar with a top speed of over 215 mph
General Motors and Barrett-Jackson team up to auction the first-ever retail production 2025 Corvette ZR1. Models wearing VIN 001 will be configured according to the winning bidder’s preferences. This opens up a variety of possibilities, as the model will be available as a coupe and convertible.
In addition to these two body styles, Chevrolet also offers the optional ZTK performance package. It promises to turn the car into a “true track weapon” as it adds a front dive plane, a rear wing and a hood-mounted Gurney lip. Underneath, the car’s front lower wing has been replaced by bottom slats that help increase downforce. Other highlights include stiffer springs, revised dampers and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires.

The ZR1 is scheduled to be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction on January 25th. All funds will be donated to the American Red Cross, which supports disaster relief efforts, blood drives and military families.
It’s unclear how much the car will cost, but the first Corvette C8 sold for $3 million. The Corvette Z06 is priced at $3.6 million, so the ZR1 is likely to hit the $4 million mark.
