
Many Ford Maverick models do not properly install software updates

- Ford’s recall storm includes software fixes for a variety of models, including the F-150 and Corsair.

Mavericks: Five recalls, one model
Of the 933 trucks built between August 20, 2021 and October 9, 2023, the most important recall rate is 933. The vehicles have recalled a problem when the digital instrument panel did not display critical safety information and another solution is now needed. Ford said some affected vehicles did not have proper software updates installed for the first time. As a result, the owner needs to take the truck to the dealer for updates.

this Mentrick recalls The impact is only two units built between March 9, 2022 and April 25, 2022. As before, these vehicles should be fixed during the last recall, but the powertrain control module update does not work as expected. Ford will notify the owners of all maverick models that are subject to this recall from April 14, 2025.

More Mavericks, plus F series, Escape and Corsair memories
Still not done for the Mavericks? And more. The compact truck is also part of two larger recall moves that have affected a range of other Ford models.
The first recall in the group affected 10,627 vehicles, including 2021-2022 Ford F-150, 2022 Ford Maverick, as well as expedition team, Lincoln Navigator and F Series Super Duty Truck and other models. The vehicles were previously repaired under a recall (22V-193), which involved a software issue that prevented the electric or electric brakes on the trailer from functioning properly. Now, Ford will not need to update the integrated trailer brake control module software to the owners. The notice of this recall will be issued on April 14, 2025.
The next recall involves 207 units 2022-2024 Maverick, 2022 Escape and 2021-2022 Lincoln Corsair. These vehicles are part of a previous recall (24V-330), but the Hybrid Powertrain Control Module (HPCM) software is not updated correctly. The software may cause the vehicle to be accidentally transferred to neutral, resulting in a loss of drive force. Similarly, starting April 14, Ford will notify affected owners.
Mach-E and F-150 lightning recall
Continuing to use electric cars, Ford recalls 950 2022-2024 F-150 Lightning. The recall is due to manufacturing defects in high voltage battery batteries, which can cause internal short circuits. Before fixing the issue, Ford recommends that owners limit charging to 80%. The dealer will inspect and replace the high-voltage battery array as needed. The notice letter will be sent to the owner on March 17, 2025.

Alone, 234 Mustang Mach The crossover built between May 2020 and May 2022 was recalled because the high voltage battery main connector was not properly secured during the previous recall. These vehicles need to bring back software updates to prevent the connector from overheating.
Ecological movement issues
Last but not least, Ford recalls 18,648 Ecological movement Models built between April 1, 2021 and July 20, 2022. The problem here is that the front half shaft may not be inserted properly into the transmission, which can cause the vehicle to roll away, even if it is in the park. Ford plans to notify owners of this recall on April 7, 2025 and asks them to take the vehicle to the dealership, which will inspect and replace the half-axle if necessary.
