Ford Mach-E sales rose 62% this year, Mustang has been losing

  • Mustang Mach-E sales jumped nearly 62% in Jan-Feb.
  • Ice Mustang’s sales fell 34% during the same period as in 2024.
  • The Ford brand overall fell 7.4%; Lincoln fell 14.2%.

It took a while for the Ford Mustang Mach to make a big stride, but it’s been over four years since its first sale. Compared with the same period last year, U.S. electric crossover sales jumped 61.9% in the first two months of 2025.

Ford shifted Mach 6,841 in January and February this year, while on January 1, 2024, Ford’s figure was 4,225.

The buyer’s indifference to the situation of Volkswagen ID.4 and complex Tesla model (the Juniper makeover is coming, and half of the country hates Elon Musk) is undoubtedly helpful, but the fact remains impressive, an impressive performance for a car, the wisdom of the traditional auto industry should have had sales that improves sales.

Unfortunately, the sale of the “real” Mustang is definitely on the slideshow. They dropped from 7,886 to 5,191 in the first two months of 2025, while the opening of the first two months of a year. Considering that the S650 Stang is brand new in 2024, there are almost no old hats, and now that the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger are gone, it should have performed much better.

Mustangs are not stupid either. Its reviews are great and still represent strong value. But just celebrated its 60th birthday, it looks like a car without a major reconsideration and probably won’t make 70. The sad truth is that people seem to just want SUVs these days, though not necessarily Ford: Mach-e and Bronco (growth 21%) are the only Ford SUVs to get the base; the Blue Oval SUV lineup overall fell 21.5% to 108,011 units.

The company performed better, increasing delivery by 5.6% to 175,193 units, but the overall Ford brand shipments fell by 7.4% to 288,395. Still, it’s better than Ford’s Lincoln Luxury Division, which saw sales in January – Jan-Feb fell 14.6% to 13,224.
