Genesis Australia Have recalled 572 electric vehicles (EVs) In the GV60, Electrified GV70 and Electrified G80 model series, a power outage may occur due to a common fault.
“Due to a software issue in the integrated charge control unit, the auxiliary 12-volt battery may not charge as expected, resulting in battery drain and loss of power,” the automaker said in the recall notice.
“Loss of power while driving may increase the risk of an accident resulting in injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”

The glitch also affects the related Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6. Although the recall for the Genesis fault was issued in April 2024, it has now been superseded by the latest notice.
