Kia is all set to expand its SUV portfolio in India with the Syros, which will be officially launched tomorrow, December 19. Sonet and Seltos are two of Kia’s popular SUVs, which account for a sizeable portion of the company’s sales. Today, we predict the top five features that the upcoming Syros can borrow from one of its models, the Seltos. If you’re curious about what Syros might have to offer, you can find out here.
Ventilated front seats
Ventilated front seats increase comfort by using air circulation to keep the seats cool and prevent overheating, especially in hot weather. Kia hasn’t confirmed anything yet, but we expect the new Syros to get this feature from its siblings. It also borrows power front seats from the Seltos for added convenience and comfort.
Dual screen
Judging from the teaser, it looks like the Syros will feature a dual-screen layout on the dashboard. Although the exact dimensions are yet to be determined, the SUV is likely to adopt the dual 10.25-inch displays of the Seltos.

panoramic sunroof
The panoramic sunroof will be a highlight of Syros. Since the Seltos introduced this option in the mid-spec HTK Plus model, the Syros is likely to get the same sunroof setup from its sibling.
Dual zone automatic air conditioning
The new Syros is expected to offer dual-zone automatic climate control in its range-topping variant. For reference, the Seltos has this premium feature in its top-spec HTX model.
6 airbags (standard)
Kia equips six airbags as standard on its current models, including the pre-facelift Seltos. This focus on protection is expected to carry over to the Syros, with all variants of the SUV likely to be equipped with six airbags.
In addition, Syros is expected to offer features such as ADAS, 360-degree cameras, a Bose sound system, and multiple terrain and driving modes.
Kia Syros: Powertrain
The Syros is likely to come with both petrol and diesel engines. The 1.5-liter diesel engine will produce 116 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine will produce 118bhp and 172Nm.
