Hero’s new product launch will showcase the brand’s latest engine and most affordable electric scooter
As part of its growth strategy, Hero MotoCorp has started targeting the higher volume two-wheeler market. Following the flagship 440 cc Mavrick, the company will launch the Xtreme 250R street fighter and the Xoom 160 maxi style scooter. Hero will also launch the new Vida Z and Xpulse 210 at the Bharat Mobile Global Expo 2025.
Hero Extreme 250R
This will feature Hero’s first 250cc liquid-cooled engine. It offers 30 PS and 25 Nm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike is designed for agile performance, allowing users to reach 0 to 60 km/h in approximately 3.25 seconds. In addition to the engine, lightweight wheels and radial tires also improve overall performance. The latter features a 50-50 weight balance, ensuring enhanced grip and responsiveness.
The Hero Xtreme 250R uses a trellis frame, suspended on USD forks at the front and 6-step adjustable mono-shock suspension at the rear. The front 43mm USD fork has a gold finish which enhances the sporty look of the bike. Both wheels come with disc brakes, and users also benefit from switchable ABS.
Zero Hero 160
As the brand’s new flagship scooter, the Xoom 160 will be Hero’s first scooter to feature a liquid-cooled engine. The 156cc single-cylinder engine produces 14 hp and 13.7 Nm of torque. The Hero Xoom 160 comes with 14-inch wheels that will provide greater stability and handling along with a smoother ride quality. The scooter features dual-purpose tires that allow users to ride with confidence in both on- and off-road environments. Tackling rough roads and potholes will also be easier with the help of the large 14-inch wheels.
The Hero Xoom 160 has a sporty silhouette and comes with features like ADV-style front beak, dual-LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights, large windscreen and strong body paneling. Other highlights include a fully digital instrument cluster, turn-by-turn navigation and keyless entry. Users will be able to access a range of connectivity features via Bluetooth. The Hero Xoom 160 will compete with rivals like the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Aprilia SXR 160.
Hero Vida Z and Xpulse 210
Focusing on affordability and daily commuting needs, Hero will launch the new Vida Z electric scooter. Vida Z features a new modular architecture that supports battery packs ranging from 2.2 kWh to 4.4 kWh. The scooter will come with a removable battery pack and offer comprehensive connectivity features. The digital display is a touch-enabled TFT unit. Users can access features such as geo-fencing, real-time vehicle tracking, and OTA updates.
Talking about the Xpulse 210, the bike will use the 210cc engine of the Karizma XMR. However, the engine has undergone some tweaks to enhance the Xpulse 210’s handling. This 210 cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine puts out 24.5 bhp and 20.4 Nm. It is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper and assist clutch. The front suspension travel is 210 mm and the rear suspension travel is 205 mm. Switchable ABS modes allow the rider to tailor it to riding conditions. The ground clearance is 220 mm, which is suitable for off-road tracks. The Xpulse 210 is equipped with a 4.2-inch TFT speedometer.
