Hero Motocorp, India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, reported domestic sales of 3,56,615 units in February 2025, down 19.48% compared to 4,42,863 units in February 2024 sales of 4,42,863 units. Some models sold 4,42,863 units. However, some models have witnessed strong growth, and several key products have recorded a lot of developments.

Splendor and HF Deluxe see sales drop

The hero’s best-selling glory is still at the top of the domestic list, with 2,07,763 units sold in February 2025. However, this is a sharp drop of 25.25%, compared with 2,77,939 units sold in the same period last year. Similarly, HF Deluxe fell by 7.30%, with sales falling from 76,138 units to 70,581 units.

The Xtreme 125R proved to be a major profiter, with 16,178 units sold in February 2025, marking a 3,504 increase in 3,504 units a year ago. In terms of electric power, Vader also posted a significant increase6,146 units sold, up 339.31% from 1,399 units last year, reflecting the hero’s growing growth in the electric vehicle sector.

Decline of trans Passion, Charm, Xpulse et al.

The hero’s passion witnessed a sharp decline of 50.17%, with sales of 31,302 vehicles falling to 15,598 vehicles last year. Charm also fell by 50.06%, with only 7,942 units sold, compared to 15,904 in the same period last year. The adventure-centric Xpulse fell to 1,698 units, down 39.01%, while the Xoom scooters fell to 44.75% to 1,814 units.

Among scooters, the Destini 125 sold at 15.19%, with 14,445 units sold, while the positive growth of the Pleasure Condition was 41.32%, from 8,248 to 11,656 units. However, the Master recorded zero scores of zero, compared to 424 last year.

Other models – Xtreme 160/200, Karizma, Mavrick

Sales in the Xtreme range were relatively stable, down slightly by 1.26% to 2,742 units. The Mavrick 440, the hero enters the premium section, reported 52 units in its debut month. Karizma 210, on the other hand, reported zero units in February 2025, while 2,128 units sold in the same month last year indicated a pause or phase-out. The hero showed New Karizma XMR 250expected to be launched in the next few months.

Overall, while Hero Motocorp continues to dominate in strong performance angles such as strong performers and HF luxury, the overall decline of 19.48% highlights the impact of changing consumer preferences and increasing competition in commuters and advanced fields.
