India’s Maxi Scooter type was sponsored by Suzuki and Burgman 125. But as the name suggests, it is a 125CC pedal, but it is not excited among enthusiasts. It was the place where Aprilia entered the scene and launched the SXR 160, followed by the real performance pedal Yamaha Aerox 155. This part has just witnessed the third contestant in the form of hero Xoom 16. Let us compare these three people and see their position on paper.
Hero Zero 160 comes
Since the first appearance of EICma Show in 2023, Indian motorcycle enthusiasts have been waiting for the launch of Hero Xoom 160. The company launched it at 2025 Auto Expo in the Delhi NCR in 2025, which is one of the most popular models of heroes. Although we are expected to have a competitive price, the price label of the Xoom 160 is 1.48 billion rupees (EX-SH).
Its price is the same as the price point of Yamaha Aerox 155. This is a pedal pedal car, which will hit VFM merchants. In contrast, the price of Aprilia SXR 160 is the cheapest at 1.43 billion rupees (EX-SH). That’s because it packages performance, functions and equipment, these functions and devices reduce the products provided by heroes and YAMAHA.
All the pedal cars here offer a engine, with a position displacement of 155cc to 160cc. They are single -cylinder SOHC units. Xoom and Aerox were cooled by liquid and obtained 4V heads, while SXR was only cold and obtained 3V heads. Aprilia should implement at least oil and cold water, and even TVS NTORQ 125 has something.
Aerox has greater power. Xoom has greater torque at a similar engine RPM, while SXR is cut below. All pedal carts are equipped with CVT Aprilia, and missed the silent start and engine starting/stop function. Only Aerox 155 gets the cadre control, and both Aerox and Xoom can use the keyless Go to obtain the smart key.
Component and function
The SXR has the longest wheelbase, the highest ground gap, the lowest seat height, and supported by the tubular chassis. The chassis allows a flat floor. At 126 kg, Aerox is the lightest and the highest power: weight ratio. However, Aerox, the smallest fuel tank, is 5.5L, while the other two provide 7L tanks. Only SXR can get internal and seat fuel filling caps, which is great inconvenient.
The wheel size is 14 inches, with xoom and Aerox, and 12 inches of SXR. However, Aprilia’s official website mentioned that SXR 160 has a 12 -inch front and 14 -inch rear combination. It is unclear whether this is silent or wrong. The front tire is the most tight in the 110s, with Aerox, and other tires provide 120. The rear tires are the smallest in the 120 -stage SXR, and the other two provide 140 sections.
All three pedal cars on this list are average of disc brakes, rear drum brake brakes and single -channel ABS. In terms of suspension, they all obtained RSU telescopic forks. Only SXR 160 obtained a single -sided single shock, while the other two had a dual impact absorber. These three have obtained LED headlights and taillights, but only SXR can get the LED turning indicator.
Although the SXR 160 obtains the largest instrument panel, because there is no Bluetooth or connection function, it is not possible to use all real estate. YAMAHA provides a Y-Connect application with Aerox, and is limited by Bluetooth function because there is no navigation. This is the place where the hero provides a circle of navigation. It has gained a good seat storage, but the hero has not written a few numbers on it.
in conclusion
On paper, Yamaha Aerox 155 is the lightest winner, the most powerful, with a VVA engine with R15 and many functions. However, it has some defects in line with ergonomics, and the rear suspension is like a brick. The Aprilia SXR 160 looks outdated on the paper. It has the most charming design and a flat pedal.
Hero Xoom 160 has the most exciting and most attractive design in these trilaterals. The charming effect like ADV is very good, adding a lot of muscles. Xoom 160 may be the most comprehensive packaging in these trilaterals, but its weight is much heavier than Aerox. These three are beneficial to them, which is a game of anyone.
