Hero MotoCorp has launched the Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition in India, priced at Rs 1.67 lakh (ex-showroom). Pre-orders for the special edition start today.
Hero MotoCorp has launched the Dakar Edition of the Xpulse 200 4V Pro in India, priced at Rs 1.67 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs 3,000 more expensive than the Pro model on which it is based. The Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar has several features, the most striking of which is its Dakar-inspired appearance. Hero claims that the bike embodies the spirit of Ross Branch’s impressive podium finish at the 2024 Dakar Rally and is designed to perform well even in the most challenging conditions. The Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition is now available for pre-order and its arrival paves the way for Hero MotoCorp’s performance at the 2025 Dakar Rally. The company’s next Dakar Challenge will kick off in Saudi Arabia on January 3, 2025, with a talented team including riders such as Sebastian Buhler, Nacho Cornejo and Ross Branch. Hero Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition: What’s the difference?
In addition to the paint scheme, the Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition also features a bold “Dakar” logo on the fuel tank and a unique hero graphic on the side panels. It also features fully adjustable front telescopic forks with 250mm of travel and 270mm of ground clearance, making it ideal for rough terrain.

The bike also offers three selectable ABS modes: Road, Off-Road and Rally. Other standout features include a USB charger, rally-style windscreen and closed-loop knuckle guards.
Hero Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition: Engine and Hardware
Hero has not changed the mechanical specifications, which means the Dakar version will have the same 199.6cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine mated to a five-speed gearbox.

The bike also continues to feature sturdy 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels, as well as disc brakes at both ends. The LCD instrument console has also been maintained, ensuring the rider has all important information at their fingertips.
