Hero Motocorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, sent a total of 3,88,068 units in February 2025, down 17.15% year-on-year, while sales in February 2024 fell by 4,68,410 units.
Sales failure – February 2025
Motorcycle: 3,52,312 units, down 19.37% (February 2024: 4,36,929 units)
Scooter: 35,756 units, up 13.58% year-on-year (February 2024: 31,481 units)
Domestic sales: 3,57,296 units, down 19.76% year-on-year (February 2024: 4,45,257 units)
Exports: 30,722 units, up 32.69% year-on-year (February 2024: 23,153 units)


Hero Motocorp’s year-to-date (YTD) saw its 25-year sales of 53,49,583 units, reflecting a 4.26% increase in 51,31,040 units a year ago. Motorcycle sales rose 4.98% to 49,69,854 units, while scooter sales fell 4.37% to 3,79,729 units. Domestic sales rose 2.83%, with 51,01,672 units, while exports soared 46.03% to 2,47,911 units.
Vida Electric two-wheeler gets power
Hero Motocorp’s electric vehicle brand VIDA continues to grow, sending 6,200 units in February 2025. The growing demand for the VIDA V2 model reaffirms its affordable and ideal position in India’s growing EV environment.
Global sales see strong growth
Global sales of Hero Motocorp soared 33%, surpassing 30,000 units for the third consecutive month. The company’s continued performance in the international market is a positive indicator of its expanding footprint.
Looking to the future – Seasonal demand and new product launches
With the upcoming marriage season and new products launching, Hero MotoCorp expects sales momentum to increase in the coming months. The company has started delivery of the Destini 125 and will soon start dispatching the Xoom 125, further strengthening its 125cc scooter portfolio.
Advanced retail expansion and high-skill initiatives
Hero Motocorp continues to enhance its premium retail business, with more than 64 “Premia” dealers nationwide. These media have Hero Motocorp, Vida and Harley-Davidson products under the roof to provide customers with diverse and advanced experiences.
In addition, the company has partnered with the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) to launch a large-scale high-skill initiative for women. Over the next 15 months, Hero Motocorp aims to train 20,000 women in the automotive sales and services ecosystem for eight key roles.
Hero motorcycle shines in the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge
The Hero Motosports team Rally ended the 2025 Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, with driver Nacho Cornejo ranked sixth overall. Cornejo demonstrated significant consistency, earning the top 10 in each stage and receiving a podium in both stages.
Despite overall sales declines, Hero Motocorp continues to strengthen its international business, grow its electric vehicle segment and expand its network of premium dealers. With new products rolling out, seasonal demand and strategic plans, the company remains optimistic about returning to momentum in the coming months.
