Honda Activa e and TVS iQube are two of the most famous electric scooters in India and give us a glimpse into the future of urban transportation. While both aim to provide an eco-friendly, efficient alternative to traditional scooters, they both have unique features and specifications. The Honda Activa e is the electric version of the popular Activa range and aims to maintain the brand’s reputation for reliability and ease of use while integrating electric power. Honda is yet to reveal the pricing of the Activa e, but it is expected to cost around Rs 1 lakh. Meanwhile, TVS iQube is priced between Rs 1.07 lakh and Rs 1.37 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom.

The Honda Activa e has a ground clearance of 171 mm, overall length of 1,854 mm, width of 700 mm and height of 1,125 mm. Its wheelbase is 1,310 mm.
The length, width and height of TVS iQube are 1,805mm, 645mm, 1,140mm respectively, the wheelbase is 1,301mm, and the ground clearance is 157mm.

Activa e uses a direct-drive PMSM motor that delivers 8bhp peak power and 22Nm maximum torque. It is powered by two 1.5kWh battery packs with a total capacity of 3kWh. This setup enables the electric scooter to accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 7.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 80 km/h. Commendably, it can travel 102 kilometers on a single charge.
Instead, the TVS iQube is powered by a 3.4kWh battery feeding a 6bhp electric motor. It accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in just 4.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 78 km/h. The driving range per charge is up to 100 kilometers. Using a 650W charger, the iQube can charge from 0% to 80% in approximately 4.5 hours. It has two riding modes: power and economy.

Both scooters feature a 7-inch TFT display, but Honda’s RoadSync Duo offers more advanced connectivity features. It includes full map navigation, while the iQube S only offers turn-by-turn navigation. The Activa e also supports hands-free calling, a feature not available on the iQube S, which only alerts users of incoming calls.

These models come with music controls and LED lighting. Apart from this, Honda Activa e also offers three riding modes: Econ, Standard and Sport. However, the TVS scooter offers only two modes: Eco mode and Power mode.
