Honda Auto Sales March 2025 – Domestic Sales Grow 2% FY25

Honda Motor India Report Total Domestic sales in March 2025 were 7,228 unitsof the 7,071 units sold in March 2024, the age increased by 2.22%. The brand also announced strong monthly recovery rates, up from 28.7% from February 2025 selling price, with 5,616 units sold. This growth reflects the positive response to Honda products in the end of the fiscal year 25 month.

However, in terms of exports, Honda has witnessed a significant decline. The company exported 4,656 units in March 2025, compared with 6,860 units a year ago, resulting in a 32.13% drop. As a result, total sales (domestic + export) in March 2025 were 11,884 units, down 14.69%, while 13,931 units sold in March 2024.

Performance in FY25 – Exports, domestic sales decline

Honda Motor India’s total sales were 1,26,151 units throughout the 2024-25 fiscal year, slightly higher than the 1,24,173 units sold in FY24, reflecting a 1.59% increase. The main driver of this growth was exports, up 60.22% year-on-year – up from 37,589 units in FY24 to 60,226 units in FY26.

However, domestic performance remains under pressure, with sales in FY25 dropping to 65,925 from 86,584 in FY24. Sharply drop of 23.86%. As the company moves forward, even as export demand continues to show strong hope, the focus may be on revitalizing its domestic portfolio to restore momentum. Made in India Honda Hiroli earned a record booking number in Japan.

Speaking of overall fiscal year sales performance, Mr Kunal Behl, Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Honda Motor India Ltd.. “HCIL sales performance in FY24-25 is consistent with the ongoing tough business environment. On the domestic side, challenges are faced with generating new demand at home, which is also reflected in HICC’s domestic sales, we recorded our highest export batches ever, which is the highest momentum in our export business to Japan, which has made our challenge both challenging. In the new fiscal year, we remain optimistic and believe that our commitment to customer satisfaction will enable us to effectively navigate the market and continue to achieve positive results.”
