

With the launch of the Elevate SUV, Honda Motor India Ltd. (HCIL) unlocks a new chapter in its Indian business. This is a much-needed vehicle for Honda in India and Indian SUV buyers were well received. Since production began, the company is celebrating cumulative sales milestones for elevated SUVs.
Honda raises milestone
Honda’s rise is operating in India’s most intense, overpopular C SUV sector, which is HCIL’s answer to the growing popularity of SUVs in the country. With Hiperate, Honda has established relevance in the Indian market, aligned with buyer trends and met Indian customer needs and exported it to major markets such as Japan, South Africa, Bhutan and Nepal.
Elevate’s cumulative sales success comes from the domestic market and the Japanese motherland. As of now, the lift is specially made in the Tapukara Plant of Honda in Rajasthan. In terms of sales, HCIL sold 53,326 elevated units in the domestic market and did not export 47,653 units to the export market until January 2025.

Honda Elevate is the company’s first ever Indian model exported to Japan. This demonstrates HCIL’s global scope and its commitment to building quality cars worldwide for Indian car buyers. Currently, Hevate is Honda’s best-selling export model, helping HCIL grow its overseas operations by 65% in fiscal 23-24, and in the ongoing fiscal year until 92% in January 2025.
Honda Everate sticks to its urban freestyle concept and is the company’s solution for customers with an active lifestyle and global mindset. The Elevate offers many functional and biological comfort while providing many active and passive safety systems, including the well-known Honda Sensing Adas Suite.
To further enhance buyer appeal, Honda has launched the Elevate SUVs of the Apex Edition and Black Edition. It comes with a proven E20 fuel 1.5L naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine known for its robust reliability and performance. As HCIL confirmed, an electric version of the electric version is also being made.
