This achievement underscores Honda’s commitment to safety and advanced driver assistance technology (ADAS), bringing the brand closer to its global vision of zero traffic collision deaths by 2050.
Expand ADAS technology in Honda lineup
Honda first introduced India’s Honda Sensing ADA in May 2022, the country’s first mainstream powerful hybrid electric vehicle. Since then, ADAS technology has expanded to:
1 – Honda City (March 2023)
2 – Honda Raising (September 2023)
3 – Honda Amaze (December 2024) – The Most Affordable ADAS Car in India
Honda Motor India has been a pioneer in making ADAS technology accessible across multiple market segments, ensuring security for a wider audience. The company is also the first company in India to start offering ADA in 2023 with Honda City.
Consumers’ preference for ADAS technology continues to increase
Demand for Honda’s ADA-equipped model has been growing steadily. According to sales data:
– 95% of Honda buyers have chosen ADA-equipped variants.
– 60% of overhead buyers choose ADA-enabled models.
– 30% of Amaze buyers choose ADAS technology.
– 1 out of 2 ADA customers uses premium security as the main reason for purchasing.
This trend underscores the rising consumer preference for active safety technology, which makes Honda perceive a key difference in the market.
Honda Sensing – The Future of Active Safety
Honda Sensing uses a high-performance front wide viewing camera with advanced detection systems to identify roads, objects, and other vehicles. It provides the following features:
– Crash mitigation braking system (CMB)
– Adaptive cruise control (ACC)
– Mitigation path (RDM)
– Lane Keeping Assistance System (LKAS)
– Lead Car Departure Notice (LCDN)
– Automatic high beam (AHB)
