describe:
How to build a wireless network-enabled project in minutes using Pinocc.io – a complete ecosystem for building the Internet of Things.
Connecting things in the physical world to the web used to be a daunting task, requiring knowledge of RF, low-power systems, embedded firmware, network stacks, and web and mobile development. Pinoccio is working to make this task as easy as possible, essentially providing an API for your hardware. Additionally, Pinoccio uses mesh networking, so it’s easy to set up a transparent, self-healing network whether you’re in an urban area or in the middle of the desert.
Eric Jennings, Chief Technology Officer, Pinoccio Inc.
Eric’s background is in software, but his passion is open source hardware. He is a TechStars NYC Winter 2011 alumnus, has worked at tech startups in New York City, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, and holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Nevada, Reno. He loves the connection between software, hardware, people, and the environment they live in, but has a soft spot for Erlang, analog synthesizers, and permaculture.
