Hyundai has launched the facelifted model of the Alcazar in India, which has been given a substantial redesign of the exterior to give it a boxier look.
The Alcazar was originally launched in 2021 as a stretched version of the Creta that offered increased practicality thanks to its three-row seating layout. Now, three years later, it has undergone a mid-life facelift that draws a lot of inspiration from the recently updated Creta.

The Alcazar’s new front features split headlights with LED graphics integrated into an H-shaped pattern. The front bumper is covered with a wider grille and a wide skid plate around the lower cooling air intake.
The Alcazar’s sculpted silhouette remains recognisable, but now features new 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and sleek roof rails. At the rear, updated LED taillights form a unique H-shaped design. The rear bumper features aluminium trim and faux vents, and the model shown comes with dual exhaust pipes and turbine badging.
Hyundai has not released photos of the interior yet, but the Alcazar is likely to inherit the Creta’s digital cockpit with dual 10.25-inch screens, along with additional technology, comfort and safety features. The SUV will continue to be available in three-row six- and seven-seat configurations.
The Alcazar’s powertrain lineup will carry over from its predecessor, including non-electrified petrol and diesel options. These include a turbocharged 1.5-liter T-GDi petrol powertrain with 158 hp (118 kW / 160 PS) and a 1.5-liter CRDi diesel engine with 113 hp (85 kW / 115 PS). In addition to the standard six-speed manual transmission, petrol models are offered with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, while diesel models are equipped with a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission. All models are front-wheel drive.
Hyundai has started accepting bookings for the Alcazar facelift in India and the car will be launched on September 9.
Hyundai has been reinventing its SUVs with a boxier shape since the launch of the 2023 Santa Fe. The Alcazar is the third Indian model to get this design shift, following the Exter and the related Creta. The upcoming 2026 Hyundai Palisade flagship in the US market is also expected to get a similar makeover.
