Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is gearing up to launch the upgraded version of its premium SUV Hyundai Alcazar on September 9, 2024. The facelifted Alcazar brings a host of new features and is endorsed by Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan for the promotional campaign. Hyundai has opened bookings for the upgraded model at a pre-sale price of Rs.
New technology improvements
The facelifted Hyundai Alcazar introduces several new technology features designed to improve safety, comfort and connectivity. One of the key updates is the introduction of Digital Key with NFC technology, a first for HMIL. This feature allows users to lock, unlock and drive the SUV using a smartphone or smartwatch. The Digital Key can also be shared with up to three users or linked to seven devices for added convenience.
Improved comfort and connectivity
Inside, the facelifted Alcazar is equipped with a 26.03 cm (10.25 in) high-definition infotainment system and a 26.03 cm (10.25 in) digital instrument cluster for an enhanced in-car experience. The infotainment system includes built-in navigation and a multi-language interface that supports 10 regional languages and two international languages.
The SUV also features a new Dual Zone Automatic Climate Control (DATC) system with a touch-sensitive air-conditioning control panel. Connectivity is further enhanced with over 70 Bluelink connected car features that are compatible with smartwatches and smartphones.
New convenient features
The revamped Alcazar comes with several new convenience features, such as a magnetic mat on the driver’s console and a second-row wireless charger. The car also offers 10 natural ambient sounds designed to create a more comfortable and relaxing in-car environment.
Other updates include rain-sensing wipers, an 8-speaker Bose premium audio system, and a voice-activated panoramic sunroof. These additions are designed to improve the overall driving experience.
Powertrain options
The updated Hyundai Alcazar will be offered with two engine options. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine produces 158 hp and 253 Nm of torque and is available with a choice of a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The 1.5-litre diesel engine produces 114 hp and 250 Nm of torque and is available with a choice of a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic torque converter gearbox.
