Hyundai Alcazar interior – old vs new: what’s the difference?

The long wait for the updated Alcazar will be over on September 9, 2024, when Hyundai will reveal the pricing for its three-row SUV. We already know what the car will look like from the outside and inside thanks to official images. Previously, we compared the exterior of the SUV with the pre-facelift model to show you the changes on the outside. Now, we compare the interior of the new and old Alcazar to see how well-equipped this three-row SUV is after the facelift. If you’re as curious as we are about the interior differences between the post-facelift and pre-facelift versions of the Alcazar, let’s take a look.

Hyundai Alcazar interior: old vs new

The facelifted Alcazar gets a dual-tone cabin theme of Noble Brown and Haze Navy with gloss black accents and brushed aluminum finishes, while the pre-facelift version had a black-brown finish. It also gets a revamped dashboard with a 10.25-inch dual-screen setup (one for infotainment and the other for the digital instrument cluster). Also, the dashboard now has a new spot above the glovebox for storing small items. The steering wheel of the new Alcazar remains the same as its predecessor, but now gets a blue finish. Also, the previously contrasting silver highlights are now all black.

In the updated three-row SUV, a touch-sensitive dual-zone automatic climate control system replaces the traditional setup in the old Alcazar. The central air-conditioning vents are sleeker than before and are located below the infotainment system. Also, the side vents are now horizontal instead of vertical. The center console also gets a new design with a silver finish instead of the black finish on the previous-generation model.

The six- and seven-seat configurations of the Alcazar remain unchanged. However, in the six-seat configuration, the fixed center armrest in the second row is replaced by an independent armrest. There is also a “boss mode” that provides additional legroom for passengers behind the second-row co-pilot. In addition, the middle-row captain’s chairs now have wing-shaped headrests. All four individual seats (in the six-seat version) can be equipped with seat ventilation. Other features include adjustable thigh supports and headrests for the second-row seats, and blue headrests for the third-row seats.

The 7-seater model, on the other hand, is said to come with a tumble-down seat mechanism for easier entry and exit to the third row, as well as enhanced seat padding and support. Additionally, the front rows come with cooled seats, while the second row comes with wireless charging and two USB Type-C charging connections.
