“Due to a software issue in the integrated charge control unit, the auxiliary 12-volt battery may not charge as expected, resulting in battery drain and loss of power,” the automaker said in the recall notice.
“Loss of power while driving may increase the risk of an accident resulting in injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”

The recall replaces two electric vehicle recalls announced in April, affecting 3,521 electric vehicles.
If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to make an appointment with a Hyundai dealer to get a free software update.
