
Hyundai Staria launches in global markets, offering multiple powertrain options and a functional, practical interior

Hyundai Staria is about to launch a fully electric version globally to compete with the likes of the Volkswagen ID Buzz. It is sold with a variety of powertrains, including hybrid, V6 petrol and diesel options. The hybrid system consists of a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine working in conjunction with an electric motor and a six-speed automatic transmission to provide power to the front axle.
The petrol engine develops 178 hp and 265 Nm of torque, while the electric motor develops 72 hp and 304 Nm of torque. Combined power output is 242 hp and 367 Nm. It is more powerful than the 3.5L V6 gasoline engine and more fuel-efficient. Weighing approximately 2,200 kilograms, Staria stands out for its futuristic design appeal and large greenhouse.

The spaceship-inspired front fascia is dominated by a horizontal LED light bar and a wide grille section. Large glass panels enhance its clean, minimalist silhouette, creating an airy appeal. The rear features vertical LED taillights with pixelated details. It comes with top-spec shift-by-wire technology and all-wheel drive.
The Tourer version can be purchased with either nine or 11 seats. Its features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, fully digital instrument console, automatic climate control, a suite of ADAS features, heated and ventilated seats, smart key, front parking sensors, automatic sliding doors, front parking sensors, and more.
