In the highly competitive sub-4-meter SUV market, Hyundai Venue has been using smart strategies to capture a respectable market share. Now, Hyundai is working on new strategies to increase sales and market share. In this regard, the Hyundai Venue S Plus model has been launched. Let’s see what it is.

Hyundai Venue S Plus model launched

In the sub-4-meter SUV segment, Hyundai Venue has been one of the oldest and most popular players. Hyundai Venue’s sales prospects are among the top 10. In July 2024, Hyundai Venue sold nearly 9,000 units and had a market share of 8.65% in the sub-4-meter segment.

To further boost sales, the Hyundai Venue S Plus model has just been launched. The main highlight of this new model is the electric single-pane sunroof. The newly launched S Plus is priced at Rs 9,35,800 (ex-tax), making it the most affordable model in the Venue range to come with a sunroof.

Hyundai offers the Venue S Plus trim level with only one engine and transmission combination. The tried-and-true 1.2L 4-cylinder Kappa NA petrol engine and 5-speed manual transmission combination. Other powertrain combinations may be available in the future, depending on demand.

In the variant line-up of the Hyundai Venue, the S Plus is positioned above the Venue S and below the Venue S (O). Above the S (O) there is a variant called the S (O) Plus which was launched earlier this month at Rs 10 lakh (Ex-sh.) At the time of launch, the S (O) Plus was the most affordable sunroof variant of the Venue.

Hyundai’s just-launched Venue S Plus comes with an electric sunroof for a lower price of Rs 9.36 lakh (ex-showroom). Sunroofs are a popular feature in India right now and having this feature in lower trims will do well on the sales charts.

What else can it gain?

As far as features are concerned, Hyundai seems to have offered a well-equipped package for the Venue S Plus. Some of the noteworthy features include a power sunroof, a digital instrument cluster with a TFT Multi-Information Display (MID), an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and more.
