
The Hyundai Venue S(O)+ is powered by a 1.2-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine, mated only to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Hyundai has launched a new variant of the Venue compact SUV in India – the S(O)+. With the launch of the new S(O)+ model, the Venue with a power sunroof is now much more affordable than before. With a price tag of Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) compared to the S(O) model, the new S(O)+ is the most affordable variant with a sunroof. Meanwhile, the S(O) model with a power sunroof is priced at Rs 10.75 lakh for the turbo-petrol 6MT.
Talking about the engine, the Hyundai Venue S(O)+ is powered by a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine that is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox only. The new engine produces 82 hp and 114 Nm of peak torque. The Venue continues to offer other engine options including a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine.

Hyundai Venue S(O)+: What else?
Apart from the new feature (sunroof), the Venue S(O)+ also comes with a digital instrument cluster and an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay. There are also LED projector headlights with daytime running lights. The car is built with passenger safety in mind, with six airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, hill start assist, and a reversing camera.
The current price range of the Hyundai Venue is from Rs 7.94 lakh for the base E model to Rs 13.48 lakh for the top SX(O) Dual Tone Knight. These prices are ex-showroom in India. In terms of market competition, Venue competes with the Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV 3XO. The rival XUV 3XO also offers an electric sunroof in its MX2 Pro model, but its price is lower than the new Venue S(O) + at Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

In other news, Hyundai has just launched a new twin-cylinder CNG unit in the Grand i10 Nios hatchback. Called the Grand i10 Nios Hy-CNG Duo, it is priced at Rs 7.75 lakh for the Magna variant and Rs 8.3 lakh for the Sportz variant. Prices are ex-showroom in India.
