Total registration for 2024 was 89,020, attracting nearly 3,000 more attendees than the previous edition, according to Trade Show Executive data for the 2022 event. With an impressive net area of 1,226,523 square feet, the show attracted 1,737 exhibitors from 10 different manufacturing industries.
This year’s show has approximately 13,000 more square feet than the 2022 show (1,212,806 NSF), and despite having fewer exhibitors than in 2022, there was a record 40 million pounds of machinery on display.
“IMTS 2024 also marks a key point in the show’s history, with IT giants making their debut at IMTS. “IMTS 2024 is a hub for innovation. Our flagship feature, the AMT Emerging Technology Center (ETC), did not disappoint. This year’s ETC partners include BlueForge Alliance, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Apptronik and MTConnect,” said Edmonson.
ETC uses the U.S. Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory Manufacturing Demonstration Facility’s converged manufacturing platform and Apptronik’s humanoid robot Apollo, which is using artificial intelligence and imitation learning techniques to teach.
