

Maruti Suzuki first proposed an all-electric vehicle. Called the Evitara, this electric SUV has made its global debut at Auto Expo in 2025. Maruti’s Virgin Electric SUV is coming soon, but testing of the vehicle continues in India. The latest spy shooting is from Mashobra in Himaal Pradesh. Let’s take a closer look.
Maruti Evitara test continues
Maruti Suzuki Evitara is ready to launch in major global markets such as India, Europe, Japan and others after its global premiere in 2025. The car will be produced only in the Maruti Suzuki facility in Gujarat and will spawn a Toyota counterpart called the Urban Cruiser EV.

We get 18-inch aerodynamic wheels, floating roof effect with black posts, flared rear quarter panels and 3-point LED taillights. Other notable features include a shark fin antenna, rear door handles in the C-pillar, a stylish roof spoiler, a sporty rear bumper with silver trim, a solid body cladding, charging ports for the left front quarter panel, and more.
Specifications and functions
Inside, we get a double deck float with a 10.25-inch infotainment screen and a digital cockpit. There is a floating center console, front ventilated seat, wireless charging pad, ambient lighting, soft dash elements, powered driver’s seat, fixed glass roof and flexible boots, rear seat stools with sliding and tilted sloping and more.

Evitara does not ignore safety on Evitara, as it has 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera and a Level 2 ADA. The company’s internal crash tests are also expected to have excellent crash ratings. Powering the Maruti Evitara, we have a 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery pack option that is expected to charge 500 km at one time.
Depending on single-motor FWD and dual-motor AWD configurations, Evitara provides total system outputs of up to 181 bhp and 300 nm. It has a ground clearance of 180 mm, a length of 4,275 mm, a width of 1,800 mm, a height of 1,635 mm, and a long wheelbase of 2,700 mm. The launch will happen soon.
