
The new Renault Duster (third generation) was introduced in South Africa and starts at R489,999 (about Rs 23.36 crore). The same model will also arrive in India next year. The SUV has a noticeably improved design, upgraded interior and three powertrain options – 1.6-liter petrol with two electric motors, a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder petrol with 48V motor and LPG fuel options.

In India, the new Renault Duster can offer a 156bhp, 1.3-liter HR13 turbocharged engine. Kiger’s 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol (for the lower trim) engines may also be available. Both manual and automatic transmissions will be available. It can also be provided using AWD (all-wheel drive) systems and a variety of terrain modes (Eco, Snow, Auto, Auto, Road, and Mud/Sand).
Based on the modular CMF-B platform, the new Duster has a newly designed bumper with vertical air vents, a larger grille with the famous new Renault logo Y-shaped LED headlights and taillights, adjustable rear bumpers, and integrated circular fog lights. The SUV has a length of 4,340mm and a wheelbase of 2,657mm.
South Africa’s new Renault Duster is said to provide better space optimization and more legroom and headroom. The SUV comes equipped with features such as a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen with Media Display and Media Nav Live options, a new 7-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charger, 6-speaker Arkamys 3D sound system, electronic parking brake, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, USB-C charging ports, power mirrors and more.
For safety, the SUV offers a multi-view camera with 360 sensors, tire pressure detectors, blind spot detection, 6 airbags (driver, front passenger, side and curtains), and more.
