The Tempest is Pontiac’s The car remained a mid-size economy car until the introduction of the T-37 in 1971 (its only model year). The T-37 shown on AutoHunter Cinema was not one of the few that originally came with a 455ci HO V8, but it eventually received a transplant. It was rescued from a field in Indiana and given a thorough rotisserie restoration.
As part of the process, it was repainted in the factory’s Tropical Lime Green color, which matches the green interior. The 455 is paired with a Turbo 400 automatic transmission and a 12-bolt rear end. This upgraded T-37 sold for $30,800 at the Barrett-Jackson 2024 Palm Beach auction.
