If you own one of the many 2024 models in the Jaguar Land Rover portfolio, we have some bad news for you. The British automaker has just announced a recall of some vehicles due to an issue with its 3D surround camera system.

The recall notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) states that a temperature difference between two silicone chips within the Near Field Sensing Module (NFSM) may cause the module to enter reset mode. If this happens, the image for the 3D surround camera will not be displayed.

Jaguar Land Rover says the system may overheat if the vehicle is used for an extended period of time because some parts lack the thermal interface material they should have from the factory. A faulty camera system means the vehicle in question does not meet safety standards and increases the risk of injury to pedestrians.

Two separate recalls have been issued for the fault. The first recall covers only five 2024 Jaguar F-Pace vehicles produced between September 5 and October 25, 2023, while the second recall covers 180 Land Rover vehicles from the 2024 model year.
