Joint meeting of industrial councils expands membership in Asia

BRUSSELS – The Joint Meetings Industry Council (JMIC), the international body representing the collective voice of the global meetings and events industry, is proud to announce the addition of two new members: the China Business Events Industry Council (CBEIC) and the Southern African Council Association of the Meetings Industry (SAACI). These additions further strengthen JMIC’s global network and enhance its outreach to the global business events industry.

Zeng Yafei, Chairman of CBEIC, shared the idea of ​​joining JMIC: “JMIC is an organization representing the global business exhibition industry. It serves as a platform to solve and promote global industry issues of common concern and exchange best practices to promote our industry and its Professional development. This is also our goal when we established the China Business Exhibition Industry Committee (CBEIC) under the ICC Business Sub-Council.”

He continued: “JMIC and CBEIC share common goals and objectives, which is why we join JMIC and contribute our efforts to bring Chinese wisdom to the global conference industry. We believe that the business events industry promotes global economic and social development, promotes communication, Strengthening international cooperation, reducing poverty, and promoting world peace, miracles can happen.”

SAACI also joins JMIC, marking another major expansion in Africa. Jaques Fouché, SAACI National President, said: “We are honored to be admitted as a member of the Joint Meetings Industry Council (JMIC).
