Kia Carens facelift test continues

Carens has a large market share in the advanced MPV field. Now, the company is developing a makeover for the vehicle. Kia appears to be testing the ICE and EV versions of Carens Facelift and will likely be launched near each other. Recent spy shootings reveal the lighting elements of the car. Let’s take a closer look.

Carnival facelift test continues

Kia proposed Carens after launching Seltos and Sonet in the mainstream market. This is a premium and technically loaded 3-row crossover MPV with 6- and 7-seater options. Kia is renovating Karens in South Korea and India. Recent spy shots are from South Korea and they show the lighting elements of the MPV.

The test ms seen in these spy shots are completely disguised, leaving only some space to glance at its lighting elements. As seen in recent spy shots, the facelift of Karens extends the silhouette forward while offering a new front and rear design. This way, Kia will make most of the sheet metal the same as the current model.

The current model has a split headlight design, with the LED DRL on the top slightly below it. With the adapted model, Kia continues to perform split design methods with unique execution. The LED DRL is on the top, and the inverted L-shaped flows neatly into the headlights below it, using the connection method.

These headlights are housed in a triangular shape and appear to be a three-barrel reflector design. Two buckets of low beam, the other for high beam. These reflectors look like they are filled with LEDs. This design is similar to what you see on Kia’s global and premium EV5 crossover electric SUVs.

What are you looking forward to?

It must be noted that Kia is using Carens Facelift to provide LED fog lights, while the next-generation Seltos seems to be omitting. It looks like there is a radar module in front of the ADA. The wheels have a geometric design, completed with a dual tone effect. The rear LED taillights of the Kia Carens appear to be a connected design with an avant-garde design flowing downwards at the end, similar to the Mahindra Xuv3xo.

Inside, we can expect Kia Carens to get similar elements from Syros. We’re talking about a 30-inch infinity display made from two 12.3-inch infotainment and instruments, as well as a 5-inch screen for climate control, a new 2-spoke dual D-CUT steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, premium audio and more.

Currently, the trio provided by Carens is a 1.5-liter IC engine, which is expected to be available to Kia Carens Facelift. These include a 1.5L NA petrol engine, a 1.5L turbo refueling engine and a 1.5L turbodiesel engine. Depending on engine selection, Kia will offer a 6-speed manual, 6-speed IMT, 7-speed DCT and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The launch is likely to happen in the coming months.
