The Kia EV6’s design has changed slightly, mainly at the front. The EV6 is longer and has longer overhangs to enhance its proportions. This makes the overall design sportier. There are also new headlights with triangular “star map illumination” daytime running lights. The side profile remains unchanged, but the wheels have been redesigned with larger 21-inch rims! The rear taillights have also been redesigned to reflect a sporty aesthetic.

Modified interior

The interior remains unchanged, with some small but effective changes. The steering wheel design has been revised and features an integrated biometric fingerprint sensor. The car is also equipped with two 12.3-inch curved dual-screen displays, adding a modern design feel.
There are features galore to cater to buyers’ whims and fantasies, such as a digital rearview mirror, updated AR head-up display, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, 15W wireless phone charger, remote parking with new 2.0 digital key Auxiliary 2! In terms of safety, in addition to being equipped with 7 airbags, electronic stability control system and 360-degree reversing camera, EV6 is also equipped with ADAS functions.

Powertrain

The updated EV6 is powered by an 84 kWh battery pack (up from 77 kWh) and a 63 kWh battery pack (up from 58 kWh). The maximum cruising range of EV6 is 650 kilometers! The dual-motor AWD delivers 325 hp and 650 Nm of torque. EV6 is equipped with an 800V charging system, which can charge the vehicle from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes! Charging for 15 minutes provides a range of 343 kilometers.

Pricing and Market Position

Kia EV6 price starts at Rs. 60.96 lakh (ex-showroom), the facelift version is expected to command a premium. The EV6 will face stiff competition, starting with its sibling the Hyundai IONIQ 5, as well as models such as the Mercedes EQA, Volvo XC40 Recharge and BMW iX1.

Conclusion

Overall, this updated EV6 should bring a new style to the EV6 that should appeal to a wider audience than before. Now equipped with a sporty design, updated creature comforts and improved fit and finish, the EV6 will set a higher standard for electric SUVs.
