

Kia India CKD export volume 2024 – Half of Kia’s CKD export volume comes from India
Since shipments started in June 2020, Kia India has exported more than 100,000 Completely Knocked Down (CKD) vehicles. The achievement reflects the company’s growing influence in the global automotive supply chain. Kia India’s cumulative exports have reached 3.67 lakh units, demonstrating its role in meeting global automotive demand.
Kia India contributes 50% of Kia’s global CKD exports. This huge share highlights the company’s reliance on India’s manufacturing expertise and logistics efficiency to meet international requirements. Export models include Seltos, Sonet, Carens, etc., in line with the preferences of the global SUV and MPV market.
Kia India CKD Exports 2024 – Targeting new markets with 38,000 units CKD target
Currently, CKD export target areas are the Middle East and Africa. These regions are strategic growth markets for Kia due to their growing demand for reliable and competitively priced vehicles. New markets such as Uzbekistan, Ecuador and Vietnam are expected to receive more than 38,000 CKD units by 2024.
The Ananathapur manufacturing plant is located in Andhra Pradesh and is the export hub for Kia India. The factory uses advanced manufacturing processes tailored for CKD production to ensure vehicles meet international quality standards. The facility’s proximity to major ports facilitates seamless export operations.
CKD exports to double by 2030
CKD export business started in June 2020, and shipments have continued to grow since its establishment. The company aims to double its CKD exports by 2030, reflecting a solid long-term strategy. The announcement in November 2024 underlines Kia India’s commitment to achieving its ambitious goals.
