Kia previews 2026 Sportage in the U.S., confirms 5 new models will debut at Los Angeles Auto Show
  • Kia will use the Los Angeles Auto Show to launch five new vehicles.
  • The company isn’t revealing much yet, but has dropped an apparent teaser image of the US-spec Sportage.
  • We can also expect to see a facelifted EV6 along with a surprise or two.

Kia plans to debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show with five different models. The company is hesitant on specifics, but says we can expect models with combustion engines, hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains, and electric power.

In addition to giving us a rough outline, Kia also released teaser images of the US-spec Sportage. While there isn’t much to see, the crossover follows in the footsteps of the international version launched earlier this month.

As a quick refresher, the facelifted Sportage has a more traditional front end and an updated rear end. Their interiors have been revamped with new instrument panels and modern displays. The powertrain is likely to carry over, but the hybrid version may get a slight performance boost.

In addition to the Sportage, we can also expect to see the 2025 EV6. Launched in May, the facelifted electric car features improved styling and an updated interior. What’s more, judging from the 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5’s numbers, the larger 84 kWh battery pack should increase the range to around 318 miles.

The remaining three debut more mysteriously, but one of them could be the EV9 GT. We may also see the K4 hatchback previewed at the New York Auto Show earlier this year. The company may also show off a new concept or production version of the EV4.

As we reported yesterday, the 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show will be full of debuts, with Hyundai unveiling the Ioniq 9 and Initium concepts. We can also expect to see a US-spec Volkswagen Tiguan as well as new products from Fiat, Ford and Porsche.
