
Kia unveils EV4 and Concept EV2, to be produced with EV2 in mid-March 2025 and will be launched in 2026
Kia has released the EV4 and concept EV2 at Kia World EV Day 2025 in Tarragona, Spain. The duo completed the competent lineup of the Korean manufacturer to address the electric vehicle landscape. Let’s take a look at what electric cars offer potential buyers twice.
Kia EV4 design tips
The Kia EV4 is a daily practical driveable electric vehicle that can be used in the body style of sedans and hatchbacks to meet the needs of many buyers. Kia calls EV4 buyers the “early majority” audience. It provides a futuristic design that combines a mix of “oppositional joint” design concepts with available technologies.
Performance and battery range
The Kia EV4 is powered by two variants: standard range (58.3 kWh) and long distance (81.4 kWh). The standard range of the EV4 sedan is 430 km and a long distance of 630 km, making it the best in this section. The standard range of the EV4 hatchback is 410 km, the long range is 590 km, the standard range is 0-100 km/hr, the time is 7.4 seconds, the long-term model is 7.7 seconds, and the top speed of the two variants is 170 km/hr.
Charging function
Fast DC charging allows the battery to be charged 10% to 80% in just 31 minutes. The EV4 also offers a standard 11 kW onboard charger. Additionally, the EV4 can offer versatility as it offers 3.6A V2L (load) and 10A V2G (vehicle to grid) capabilities.

The Kia EV4 also comes with a 12.3-inch dual screen and a 5.3-inch multi-information driver display that includes YouTube and Netflix integrations and an innovative KIA AI assistant. There are other features such as over-the-air updates via user movement, I-PEDAL 3.0 for better regenerative braking, and more.
Safety aids
ADAS Tech’s safety suite is equally impressive, offering autonomous driving capabilities and bundled with safety aids such as driver attention warning, forward collision avoidance assist 2, assisted rear riding 2, smart speed limit assist facilities and remote parking assist assist in access.
Additionally, the car drives the f+, which provides radar and camera to help with the rest of the features. The Kia EV4 aims to perform the Euro NCAP crash test and the US NCAP and the highest safety draft in the IIHS (Institute of Highway Safety Insurance).
Kia Concept EV2: Overview
The Kia EV2 is a B-segment SUV designed to combine class-leading features and suit active urban adventures. The EV2 concept is combined with design clues such as the Kia electric vehicle family with vertical DRL and Kia star chart signature lighting. The SUV also has rear rear doors, giving its buyers a feeling of exploring destinations outside the city.

The innovative B-segment SUV also features pop-up luggage partitions and removable triangular speakers for custom audio experiences. A wireless charger and power outlet are also combined inside, giving priority to features.

The Kia EV4 sedan will be produced at the Kia Autoland Gwangmyeong Evo factory in South Korea. The Kia EV4 hatchback will be produced in Slovakia as it targets the European market. Manufacturing for sedan models is expected to begin in mid-March and in the second half of 2025 of hatchbacks.
The EV4 is expected to be launched in North America next year. With the Kia EV4 GT-Design variant, the EV sedan also offers viewers aspiring sporty designs with larger 19-inch wheels. The Kia Concept EV2 is expected to be launched in the European market and other markets in 2026.
