South Korean automaker Kia has been operating in India for five years. To celebrate the occasion, the company has launched special editions of the Sonet, Seltos and Carens in India. Called the Gravity Edition, the model brings some cosmetic changes as well as new features to offer a more premium and exclusive experience to the buyers.
The Kia Sonet Gravity Edition is positioned above the HTK+ model and comes with a rear spoiler and 16-inch alloy wheels. There is also a special edition badge on the front door. Exterior colour options are Pearl White, Aurora Black Pearl and Matte Graphite. The interior of the vehicle features TGS leather knobs, Indigo Pera seats, front door armrests, dash cam, 60:40 split seats, adjustable headrests for the rear seats, rear armrest with cup holders and wireless charger. The Sonet Gravity Edition comes with three engine options: 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with manual transmission (82bhp); 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with iMT (118bhp); and 1.5-litre diesel engine with manual transmission (114bhp). Kia Seltos Gravity Edition: Specifications
The Seltos Gravity Edition sits above the HTX variant and comes with body-coloured door handles, gloss black rear spoiler, 17-inch machined alloy wheels and unique Gravity badging. The two exterior colours are Glacier White Pearl and Aurora Black Pearl.
Inside, the special edition gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, a dashcam, and a Bose sound system. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with an electronic parking brake (petrol-CVT only) for safety. The model is available with two powertrain options – a 113bhp, 1.5-litre petrol engine with manual or CVT gearbox; and a 114bhp, 1.5-litre diesel engine with manual gearbox only. Kia Carens Gravity Edition: Specs
As for the Carens Gravity Edition, Kia has just put the Gravity badge on the front doors. The new version sits above the lower-spec Premium (O) version in the lineup. Features-wise, the Carens Gravity Edition offers a single-pane sunroof, faux black leatherette seats, leatherette door centre trim and armrests, a D-cut leather steering wheel, a dash cam, and LED map and interior lights.
Under the hood, there are three powertrains to choose from: 113bhp, 1.5-litre petrol engine with MT; 158bhp, 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with iMT; and 114bhp, 1.5-litre diesel engine with MT. Now take a look at the prices:

Kia India plans to launch two products in India next month: the Carnival facelift and the EV9. The former will be an affordable alternative to the Toyota Vellfire and Lexus LM, while the latter could be a reasonably priced rival to premium electric SUVs like the BMW iX and Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV.
