After a series of teasers, Kia will launch the Syros globally tomorrow (December 19). Although official specifications are yet to be announced, the Syros is expected to sit between the Sonet and Seltos. The Sonet is priced at Rs 7.99 lakh, while the Seltos is priced at Rs 10.90 lakh. Based on this positioning, the Syros is likely to be priced around Rs 9 lakh. These are starting and ex-showroom prices. Although the Syros won’t have any direct rivals in India, it could become an economical alternative to models like the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue. Kia Syros: exterior and interior
The official trailer shows that the new Kia Syros will adopt a boxy design language, which is characterized by vertically stacked three-pillar LED headlights, LED daytime running lights and large window panels. It also has a flat roof, extended roof rails and a unique kink in the window beltline near the C-pillar.
