The Kia Syros’ global premiere is scheduled for December 19, 2024, and will feature a unique design language unlike any other model sold in India
Among India’s leading premium car manufacturers, Kia plans to launch the Syros SUV on December 19, 2024. This will be the grand debut of the Syros SUV, which has a unique approach to design and appearance. Kia teased the car ahead of its world premiere, and the fifth teaser has just been released, showing off interesting new details.
New Kia Syros Trailer No. 5
The Kia Syros is a new idea for an SUV from the company. It looks like nothing else is sold in the Indian market. It features some of the interior design elements we’ve seen on recent Kia vehicles like the EV3 and K4. From the side, it looks a lot like the modern Casper small CUV. However, the Kia Syros is considered a larger vehicle than the Casper.
Speaking of size, there isn’t much information to go into yet. This could be a bridge between the Kia Sonet and Seltos SUVs, which belong to the sub-4m SUV and compact SUV segments respectively. As shown in the trailer, the Kia Syros will feature a unique design language and eye-catching wild approach.
The front fascia features a high-mounted bonnet for an imposing look, with vertically stacked LED headlights and large LED daytime running lights. The bumper has silver faux skid plate elements and a radar module for ADAS. Other notable elements at the front include the upright windshield and upper and lower grilles, suggesting it could be an internal combustion engine car.
On the sides, we can see geometrically designed alloy wheels up to 17 inches, tall roof rails, flush door handles, thick B-pillars and black body cladding. Speaking of the body cladding, they are square in shape, while the actual wheel wells are round. There is a large quarter glass at the rear for increased visibility.
Interesting design elements
At the rear, we can see a flat look with LED vertical taillight signatures. The actual brake lights are much lower in the bumper, though. The dual-pane panoramic glass sunroof is very popular among SUV buyers. Inside, we can expect the Kia Syros to be a full-featured vehicle packed with technology and creature comforts.
Dual 10.2-inch screens (one for infotainment, the other for instrumentation), wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, front and rear ventilated seats, power driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, premium sound system, ambient lighting and rear air conditioning Some of the expected features of the vent Syros.
On the safety front, we expect the Kia Syros to come with 6 airbags and a Level 2 ADAS suite, similar to what is seen on the Seltos. Under the hood, powertrain details remain unconfirmed. Considering there are 2 open grills on the Syros, it looks like an ICE vehicle. More details will be revealed in the future.
