- Powering the revamped Bronco is a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine producing 460 horsepower.
- Kindred Motorworks installed new axles and differentials.
- All five models are finished in black and have matching 18-inch forged wheels.
Are there too many modified Ford Mustangs on the market? Some might say there is, but as far as we’re concerned, the world would be a better place if more classic Broncos were modernized and kept on the road, rather than retired and left to rust. Kindred Motorworks is one of the biggest experts in the Bronco field and has a special model for Black Friday called the Black ICE Edition.

So what makes this restored and upgraded Bronco stand out from the rest? First off, all five examples that will be produced will be finished in gloss black paint, giving them a very stealthy look.

Kindred Motorworks started with a modification of its existing Bronco Trail Edition. In addition to adding black paint, the special edition model also comes with a set of 18-inch black Method forged aluminum wheels, unique lettering and badging, and wood trim throughout the interior.

Power comes from Ford’s beloved 5.0-liter naturally aspirated Coyote V8 engine. In this specification, the engine produces 460 horsepower and is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Kindred also installed a Dana 44 front differential, Atlas 2 transfer case, 35-spline extreme-duty rear axle, and Ford 9-inch rear differential. These upgrades should ensure the Bronco can handle any challenge owners may throw at it, although we doubt the five cars in production will ever be driven on difficult off-road terrain.
Kindred plans to open ordering for the special models on Black Friday, with each of the five models set to cost an eye-popping $214,000. That’s an incredible amount of money, but it’s not the most expensive Bronco Restomod we’ve seen. Last year, a company called Gateway Bronco launched a modified model called the Luxe-GT, priced at about $400,000. The American company’s flagship model, the Broncos, sells for up to $800,000.
