Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center

Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center was founded in 1992, covering an area of ​​225,000 square meters and a construction area of ​​240,000 square meters. It is located in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province, close to Wujiaba International Airport and the railway. and the Second Ring Road rapid transit artery. It has a superior geographical location, convenient transportation, and the surrounding supporting service facilities such as catering, accommodation, entertainment, etc. are complete. After its completion in 1993, it successfully held the first Kunming Export Commodities Fair in cooperation with seven parties from five provinces. It is one of the earliest well-known exhibition enterprises in China that integrates comprehensive service functions such as exhibitions, conferences, catering, real estate, hotels, fitness and entertainment, and has rich exhibition experience and high-quality “one-stop” services; it is a member of the International Association of Exhibition Management (IAEM) and vice chairman of the China Association of Exhibition Centers; it is the window for Yunnan Province to open to the outside world and the leading enterprise; in Yunnan’s convention and exhibition industry. In 2004, the Convention and Exhibition Center became the first domestic exhibition enterprise to obtain the ISO9001:2000 international quality system certification.

In 2005, in order to solve the institutional problems that restricted the development of the convention and exhibition center, the convention and exhibition center carried out corporatization reforms around the establishment of a modern enterprise system, rationalizing the property rights of the venues, rationalizing the nature of assets, and streamlining the relationships between investment entities and management entities. On December 31, 2005, it was successfully restructured into an enterprise controlled by the Yunnan World Expo Tourism Group, and a profit model for the enterprise operation of convention and exhibition venues was explored. Through long-term and unremitting efforts, the convention and exhibition center has now become an important base of provincial and municipal exhibition activities and one of the most influential exhibition venues in western China. Our goal is to build our country into a regional international convention and exhibition center open to Southeast Asia and South Asia.

The Convention and Exhibition Center consists of five operating departments: an exhibition company, an exhibition service company, a conference catering company, a real estate company and a hotel. It also controls Yunnan World Expo International Exhibition Co., Ltd. It provides six major services for the company: exhibitions, conferences, catering, real estate, hospitality and sports and fitness.

Kunming New Convention and Exhibition Center has 6 unique large-scale indoor exhibition halls with an exhibition area of ​​50,000 square meters and an outdoor exhibition area of ​​nearly 20,000 square meters. It can be equipped with 2,600 standard booths. The old museum has an exhibition area of ​​35,000 square meters and can also be used as an indoor exhibition hall. The annexed outdoor parking lot provides nearly 1,300 parking spaces.
