We had secretly guessed that the Lamborghini Temerario would be unveiled during Monterey Car Week, and it turns out that our guess was correct, as the Huracan’s successor will be unveiled in California on August 16. The company is not revealing too much at this time, but noted that “the supercar will mark the completion of the hybridization of the Lamborghini range, using an all-new twin-turbocharged V8 engine and a hybrid powertrain to deliver best-in-class performance and driving experience.”
While Lamborghini didn’t reveal more details, the automaker has previously confirmed that the car’s twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 will produce 789 hp (588 kW / 800 PS) and 538 lb-ft (730 Nm) of torque. It will be paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and a hybrid system with three electric motors. This will bring the car’s total output to more than 888 hp (662 kW / 900 PS).

As for the design, it is not too surprising at the moment, as spy photographers have already photographed several prototypes, all of which are equipped with an avant-garde front face, slim headlights and hexagonal daytime running lights. They are also equipped with powerful air intakes, central exhaust pipes and interiors that imitate the Revuelto. Therefore, the model may be equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8.4-inch infotainment system and a 9.1-inch front passenger display.
In addition to talking about the Huracan’s successor, Lamborghini also highlighted its second quarter and half-year results. In the first half of the year, the automaker delivered a total of 5,558 vehicles, generating revenues of 1.62 billion euros ($1.75 billion). The latter enabled the company to achieve a record operating profit of 458 million euros ($496 million).
The United States remains Lamborghini’s most important market, with the company revealing that the waiting list for the Revuelto is over two years old. The Huracan order book is also full, as the company has enough orders “to cover the entire production cycle until the expected line closure in December.”
