The highly anticipated successor to the Lamborghini Huracan, the Temerario, has made an unexpected online appearance just hours ahead of its official unveiling at Monterey Car Week. Leaked images offer a glimpse at the supercar’s radical new design and confirm a previously rumored hybrid powertrain.
The Temerario has a sharp, angular aesthetic that is a departure from the softer lines of its predecessor. Key design elements include a low, flat front end with hexagonal lighting accents, prominent side air intakes and a Y-shaped wheel design. While the rear of the car remains largely shrouded in mystery, early spy shots show hexagonal taillights and a centrally located exhaust.
From the looks of it, the Temerario represents a major technological leap for Lamborghini. Replacing the Huracan’s naturally aspirated V10 is a potent combination of a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 and three electric motors. The V8 alone produces an impressive 780 horsepower and 730 Nm of torque, with the redline soaring to an exhilarating 10,000 rpm. While the hybrid system’s total output has yet to be announced, it promises to take the Temerario to new performance heights.
The Temerario solidifies Lamborghini’s commitment to electrification, becoming the third plug-in hybrid model in the automaker’s lineup, following the Revuelto and Urus SE. All eyes will be on Monterey Car Week as this extraordinary supercar is unveiled.
