- Land Rover has launched the Defender Eivissa Limited Edition in two different specifications.
- Only six examples will be produced, and the model is inspired by the bright colors of the Spanish island of Ibiza.
- Orders will only be accepted at the Destination Defender Ibiza event (13-29 September).
Land Rover has announced the launch of the Defender Eivissa Limited Edition, which is inspired by the Spanish Mediterranean island of Ibiza. Available in Sunrise and Noontide configurations, the SUV features bright colors and special badging, with a total production of just six units (three of each).
Eivissa is the Catalan name for Ibiza, a tourist destination off the east coast of Spain. The island, known for its “vibrant nightlife and deep connection to nature,” is currently hosting the Destination Defender Ibiza event, the only place where Land Rover fans can order the Eivissa special.

The Defender 110 Eivissa Sunrise and Defender 90 Noontide limited editions represent the colours of the island at different times of the day. The Sunrise combines yellow with glossy black accents, symbolising the ‘magical sunrise yellow’ that can be seen after a lively evening. Its replacement, the Noontide, features a light blue hue with white accents. This combination resembles the blue of the sky and the Mediterranean Sea, contrasting beautifully with the white houses of the island.
Aside from the livery and Eivissa badging, Land Rover hasn’t mentioned any special features for the limited edition model. Although the Defender seems to be fairly well-equipped, we also don’t know what engine and trim levels each model will have.
Land Rover Defender 110 Eivissa Sunrise Limited Edition
According to the company, the six SUVs were designed to “pay homage to the island’s rich history and cultural significance”. The number six has links to Ibiza’s ancient history. The island’s original name was “Iboshim”, which was given by the Phoenicians in honor of Beth – a deity associated with protection, fertility and family happiness, and also associated with the number six.
Destination Defenders Ibiza kicked off on September 13 and will end on September 29. The event offers Land Rover enthusiasts a range of activities including on and off-road drives to local attractions, hiking, coastal expeditions, yoga and fitness, pool classes, opening and closing ceremonies, and cooking experiences of a variety of local dishes.
Land Rover will exhibit two limited edition Eivissa models at the event, as well as the Defender OCTA equipped with a V8 engine.
