Live Music Industry and Entertainment Live Music Industry and Entertainment have proposed a new sustainable development plan.
Led by its expert working group Live Green, it will provide artists with tools and information to include sustainability clauses in its booking contracts.
The Field Green Terms Initiative was first announced in October, introducing a contract clause template for artist booking contracts, designed to inspire industry-wide action and change the environmental impact of on-site events.
Now, it has published an open letter to artists, inviting them to support this industry initiative, add voice to the petition and promote a more sustainable live music community.
Signers of the letter can participate in ongoing activities and media coverage, or they can implement sustainable actions privately without public statements if they wish.
Mrs. Gandhi, a former drummer for Mia, a companion to Ted, artist and activist, recently released her track in The Feat of Purpose. Nature passes the sound of the Earth percentage and the United Nations Live right platform.
In the recording of sampled sounds in Antarctica, the track was included in the sport to help artists and industries collaborate on climate issues. She said, backed by the support letter, “The music industry is expected to lead by example! Let us enter the power of leaders!”
Other artists who have added their name to the signer list include Bonobo, Absolute, Kosmo Kint and Narciss.
Many talent agencies have said they will propose green terms to their managers and artist clients (using templates to draft their own).
In addition to the terms template, Live Green has created a live green resource center designed to respond to the terms content that highlights considerations addressing each aspect, as well as further resources and guidance from sustainability experts in the industry.
Ross Patel, Impact consultant at Live Green, said: “Seeing the major players across the industry calling for the inclusion of the clause and acknowledging the window of opportunity in the field of live music in the UK to speed up climate action. Artists who signed the petition Their names can now be added to the Changemakers list.
“We urge artists to express their voices and their opinions. They can do so privately or invite them to participate in a wider range of news and media opportunities and speak out on this issue. For decades, musicians have been in social justice. Speeched, changed our world…it was an opportunity to stand up at a critical time in our history and make our industry and life better.”
The program’s supporters include Earth Percentage, Greener Future, Alliance of Featured Artists, Music Forum, Julie’s Bike, Music Announcement Emergency, Electronic Music Association, Music Sustainability Alliance and Tourism Production Group.
